Our world is becoming increasingly culturally diverse.  This is not a political statement, but rather a reality that indeed impacts how care is delivered to patients. In this webinar, which is worth .1 CEU credits, you will learn to identify various cultural signs that may increase a clinician’s and support staff’s awareness about concepts and preferences of patients of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Come learn how to provide true care in a manner that can be appreciated by all people!

Dr. Marez will be leading this poignant webinar, and will highlight how to be sensitive to a patient’s specific cultural needs. His focus will be on:

  • Dealing with an illness
  • End-of-life care
  • How cultural attributes affect the medical decisions of the Hispanic/Latino community
  • Recognizing cultural norms and nuance

Healing is not simply treating a clinical problem of a patient. It is truly reaching the hearts and minds of human beings. If you don’t know how your patients are going to receive the clinical, mental and spiritual care that is being delivered – how can you truly impact their lives?
